Since the board isn't algebraically indexed, what if those pieces are on White's side, and not the assumed Black side? A simpler puzzle, but cool nonetheless.

Yes, if you play any other rook move than a6 can be played. Ra6 stops that move and if bxa6 then b7#.

Actually solving this one took me "minus 2 weeks". Since this puzzle is reposted about twice a month I foresaw the challenge coming around this time. To prove it I then stored the solution of the puzzle in a vault in Windsor castle. You van verify my story by paying one million english pounds to the queen in exchange for the key of the vault.
