A Paul Morphy's puzzle
Since the board isn't algebraically indexed, what if those pieces are on White's side, and not the assumed Black side? A simpler puzzle, but cool nonetheless.
I understand morphy apparently wasn't the best at combinations: but he was the best at impregnating a position with boundless potential! He played INTERESTING CHESS! imho!!!
Yes, if you play any other rook move than a6 can be played. Ra6 stops that move and if bxa6 then b7#.
Actually solving this one took me "minus 2 weeks". Since this puzzle is reposted about twice a month I foresaw the challenge coming around this time. To prove it I then stored the solution of the puzzle in a vault in Windsor castle. You van verify my story by paying one million english pounds to the queen in exchange for the key of the vault. Good luck!
