Player did not write down the moves in a tournament game

I was playing in a tournament game and my clock fell, but my opponent did not write the moves down from the beginning of the game. What’s the ruling? I was under the impression that if you don’t write down the moves, the clock doesn’t matter.

It depends on what the time control was. You would have lost in a G/60 control, which requires the game be completed in 60 minutes, no matter how many moves. However in an x moves per y time control, you might have had a case.

But at any rate, the game is over. The result was turned in. You can't change it now.
