Cottonwood, Verde Valley, Arizona Chess Players

A group of us have been meeting to play chess at the Jerona Café in Cottonwood, Arizona each Saturday starting at 10:00 am. The café closes at 3:00 pm, but we often continue playing outside on the patio, weather permitting.  We welcome players of all levels.

Jerona is a friendly and pleasant place to play, spacious with plenty of tables, offering food, coffee drinks, and even alcohol!

Note that this group is a spin-off of the Cottonwood Chess Club that met at the Cottonwood Public Library prior to January 2019. The library meeting are no longer taking place.

We continue meeting Saturdays 10:00 am until closing (usually 3:00 pm). Note that the Jerona Cafe, under new ownership, has changed its name to Firecreek Coffee, still at the same location on Mingus Ave.

I just moved to cottonwood... I see jerona cafe is closed, is there somewhere else people are meeting for chess? 

Is the cottonwood chess club still meeting at jerona cafe?
