What do you like in Live Chess Quick, Bitz or Long?

long is good with a decent opponent but a minute per move can be frustrating. quick is basically who can make the fastest moves that still require some thought by the other person. so all in all, i think neither is gr8 and i still stand by blitz as my favorite

i only play 1 minute games, its a rush and a prettu complex games, its not just about getting a winning position but also about not getting out of time

I totally agree with that...I prefer 10 0 blitz, when I play long the opponent takes too long or cheats, but if I play quick, like 1 minute, then people do the opening and prety much move randomely at the end, its just whoever can move faster >.<

Exactly, that's why it's horrible, chess is about thinking, not fast random moves...

you still have think, just think really fast. If you play random moves you get checkmated, im not saying is the best way to imporve, its certainly dosent involve any postional themes, its really tactical, your always playnig for the throat, but its fun, you cant cheat, and its a race to checkmating your oponent.

definately not quick because the clocks are messed up, so I say blitz.

1 minute games are the worst. Eventually it just comes down to moving as quick as you can and trying not to lose on time, instead of actually playing the best moves available. 5-10 minutes is probably the best, depending on how much time you have.
