It's happened to me on occasion. From my experience it's just been a connection issue.
The Clock
People are always talking about cheating the clock in the live chess chat. How does one do this? Chess is a game. At the risk of sounding a bit Brady Bunchish, doesn't cheating defeat the whole purpose of playing chess?
I just stared to play on line.the two games I lost was because of time how do I select time limits.I havent really play fasf games but nownI kind of like them.
There is no way that the two game clocks could be exactly the same, unless maybe your two computers were connected with short cable. The clock issue is cause by connection lag.

This is were it shows, you don't ever get extra time. You and your opponents clock time is totally different, and the clock works by the time it takes to make you move. In this case, your opponent has already made a move, but it hasn't gone to your computer yet, making your clock keep ticking. And when it does get to your computer the time will change.
I swear that when the clock gets low, say below 30 seconds, time gets added on to my opponent's clock. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a result of a weak connection or some other phenomenom?
