how do I get into a game

I am all signed in and ready to play. how do i find my first game?

Anyone in here?  grrrrr, I just want to get started.

Go to http://www.chess.com/echess/open_invites.html and see if there are any seeks available to you.  If not, go to http://www.chess.com/echess/create_game.html to create your own open seek.  Note that these are for # Days / Move games.  If you want something quicker, check out http://www.chess.com/livechess/myhome.html for Live Chess.

For future reference, In the top left corner, under the "My Home" menu select "Online Chess".  On the page that this brings you to there is a "Play Chess" panel under which you can select "Start New Game" to create a seek, or "Open Seeks" to accept one.  There's also a "Start New Game" panel on that page that will allow you to quickly create a seek.

There are also links under the "Play" menu that will take you to both this page and to live chess among others.

I think (s)he means live chess (hence the forum). To get into live chess; you go here:

There's a tutorial there once it signs in (it does so automatically).

In Fairness, it's not as easy at it seems once you've been around here for a while. I had to ask a number of questions concerning vote chess to figure out how to get involved. So ask as many questions as you want and you'll get a good straight forward answer (except you may want to not direct questions toward Cheater_1, since you'll either get a pretty good be long explanation or a good verbal spanking).
