If you time out and your opponent doesn't have enough matieral to mate, then it is counted as a draw

I have been experiencing frequent disconnections for weeks now. As I go and read this post and posts similar to it, I see that very little has been done to resolve this issue. What gives?

just because you don't see what is going on doesn't mean nothing is being done :) totally new version of live chess around the corner (a few months). in the meantime, make sure you are using the best possible browser (chrome, safari, or firefox) on a good computer with a solid internet connection.
very sorry! live chess is the most frustrating part of my life :)
May I suggest that as long as the live chess is on beta that you don't rate the games and basically don't include the games in any statisitcs except beta statistics that will be cancelled once the beta is a finished?
