why can’t I challenge my friends?

Hi Chess.com team! I have friends on this app that I’d like to be able to challenge, yet when I attempt to create a game I’m notified that my rating is too low. I understand that higher rated players may be “spammed” by lower rated players, but if someone has already accepted my friend request it should be assumed that we’d like to play against one another, correct? The only workaround I found for this was to create a challenge link, but that’s now stopped working for me, and it creates a challenge, instead, for a new random opponent. Can we upgrade this functionality please? :)

Your friends have to check a box in their settings to allow challenges from friends.

I see you play some daily chess too. In daily chess settings, one toggle specifically allows challenges from friends "no matter what."
Hi I am having a bit of an issue here, am I not allowed to challenge my friend to DUCK CHESS.. does he also need a membership to use the variant, Cuz if so I'mma be honest. that's pretty dumb. Please make it free to play

No, your friend would just need to be in the Variants section.
When I send a challenge request to a friend on the app, it either doesn't send a request to their phone or it comes up as a notification but when cliked on it aborts. How can i challenge a friend using both our rated accounts - dont want to use guest account through the challenge link
