Support: Stop replying about add-ons and cache

This board-not-showing problem is being reported by multiple users on multiple devices and browsers.  Personally, it's happening to me on desktop and laptop using different browsers (Firefox and Edge).  The problem is NOT add-ons or cache clearing.  It should not be necessary to clear our cache for an interface which was working fine a few days ago.

OBVIOUSLY THE PROBLEM IS ON CHESS.COM'S END, NOT OURS.

Thank God for Lichess which, as usual, is working just fine on the same devices and browsers.

I saw only one old thread on this with one recent post since you were evidently able to play yesterday.

It appears that this is a new problem for you.

If it was on the site end, everyone should be experiencing the same issue. Do you experience the same thing in incognito/private mode?

Check your calendar. Sep 29 was two days ago not yesterday. Also do a little more research in the forums. Multiple users on multiple threads.

So we can only expect a solution if "everyone" is reporting it? It's been reported by several users in the last few days, but I guess that's not enough. And yes, it's happening in private mode. Bottom line: it's happening on different devices with different browsers and only recently. And Lichess is working. I've never had this problem before, just in the last few days. To flatly deny that there could be any problem on the site end is unrealistic.

Interestingly, the mobile app is working, just not the web version. The problem could lie with some users' ISPs or possibly a Windows update in which case support needs to get working on a solution.

I didn't say it isn't an issue if everyone isn't experiencing it. However, it could be something else, such as the content delivery network or the outage yesterday in the US for AT&T and Verizon that could have caused cache issues somewhere along the line.

Can you try the bots when logged out?

And if you think it's a bug, please use the bug reporting tool to let the developers know.

The moderators who respond here have no access to the back end systems. If we tell you to clear your cache, it is because that has worked many times for many people.

However, it is possible that some new bug was introduced that affects many people. If you took the time to actually make a bug report, your efforts might help a lot of people.

We can't make the bug report for you unless we can reproduce the problem,

/ Did you make a bug report? Or otherwise attempt to contact Support? (The forums are answered by other users- not Support staff.)

This should be fixed now. Seems to have been a bug with a specific piece set.
