Played against a cheater but didn't get my points refunded

A couple of weeks ago I noticed an opponent of mine got caught cheating. I got destroyed as early as the opening, so nothing really seemed suspicious to me, but now I discover they had 98.5 accuracy in that game. Is the site not supposed to refund the points of games you haven't reported, even when the account is closed for fair play? If that's so it doesn't seem right cause then the best strategy would be to report everyone you lost to just for the tiny chance they have cheated, at any rate I'm a bit confused.

You can contact Support using the option in the menu to ask but there are some limits on refunds.

It's been two weeks and this simple question can't just be answered?

That's the basic answer. The site used to have information published that listed some of the exceptions as well.

I reported a person cheating and he was very likely to be cheating. His games had a high accuracy with over 90%. He must be cheating and I reported him. I want chess.com to ban that user faster. It is so obvious His username is [public accusations not allowed -- MS]. Please report him together

If you reported someone and they're not closed after a couple of days then either

  • There's insufficient evidence of cheating
  • There's no evidence of cheating

It's not allowed to post accusations publicly or to request other members to report someone. Multiple reports won't change the outcome of the checks.
