What is it that is holding you back or stopping you from doing it? Is it saying anything when you try?
my Visa credit card is not accepted. though it has all validity. Google pay says " invalid payment method"

Usually expired credit cards or old billing addresses are a common reason for payments not to work properly. If your credit card is registered to a different address that can cause the payment to be declined. To check the address for your card:
1. Sign in to http://payments.google.com with your Google Account.
2. Find the payment method you are trying to use for the purchase.
3. Tap Edit.
4. Check that the listed address matches the billing address of your card and then try purchasing again.
You might also want to try clearing your cache and cookies for the play store and play services as well..

You can always just go log on to chess.com and go into settings>profile>membership plans or manage account and bypass all the Google b.s. all together.
When will google pay method be available to buy chess.com membership?

It's because international transactions are not allowed by default. Enable it and then try.

I was facing the same issue and was unable to complete payment using an Indian credit card on the website.
But when I tried the same on the mobile app and completed payment using Google Playstore with the same credit card, it worked.
