does it happen in the last ten seconds right before you are about to win? see my last game playing bullet.

i have my suspicions.

problems with Chess.com for two or three days now. Internet speed tests are super fast

Did you perform your test hitting a datacenter in California?

Just had this same issue. Opponent had 1.1 seconds left on the clock. I had 9. I was up in material, position and time. What happens? Connection drops and I lose, in effect, 16 rating points. https://www.chess.com/live/game/4969984873

Connected chess.com on this issue for an official reply.

Yes! It is happening to me all the time mostly when I am winning. Something is wrong with the site.

The admins should genuinely look into the matter. And yes, I checked. Other sites work.

Furthermore, I have net connection from three different companies. If in a 30 min game, if I have 20 min time left, it takes only two minutes to change the connection and reconnect, but till that time the game is declared won by opponent by abandonment. Why, when I have still 18 min left.

Something fishy is going on.

Why doesn't Chess.com have "adjournment" - so a game can be restarted?  Other sites do. Of course, if you allow adjournment" you would need to be able to adjudicate games when one player quits in a losing position.

Adjudication of the game after a fixed period of time lapse is a good option. The points should be awarded to the winner and similar justified deduction should be made from the loser

Piece 2 and 2 together. Site says better if u pay. open your minds to possibility of purposeful pernicious happenings.

How much time you have depends on the time control and what part of the game you are in.

Yesterday I had a game and I was having a solid position. After 4 to 5 min and 12 moves there was no move from the opponent. His clock was ticking continuously. I waited for his move for nearly 25 min. Generally there is flashing of both clocks and warning that you are disconnected. But there was no flashing and no warning. His clock ticked to zero and I was expecting my win through abandonment. But to my horror message of I lost with loss of points due to abandonment flashed.

And all other sites were working. There was no flashing of clocks. Neither there was warning of disconnection.

But as soon as the clock of the opponent reached, I got the message declaring my loss.

Something is wrong with the server.

This is the game

How much time you have depends on the time control and what part of the game you are in.

Now the funniest thing is that last two moves are not done by me. Game got abandoned at my move to N h2. At the end of game declaration, his move to N h5 appeared. Further my moves like Bxh5 are not in the game in my achieved games. But when I have uploaded PGN it appeared. I cross checked with games on my page and while analyzing, the last two moves don't appear. What is going on?

Admins please check the game on my page.

That game is exactly what shows on your archive.

Yes. Nh5 last move. But as I have said clock ticked to zero. That move was not visible or seen. At zero after some 25 min, I lost and as soon as I lost, that last move Nh5 was seen.

Further funny thing is that if you press the button of last move on PGN uploaded, you will see Nh5 as last move position. Now press the next move button, you will see two more moves. How?

This used to happen to me quite often, but I found a great solution. My game history shows exactly how I fixed the problem. How did you fix the problem, as it seems, in most cases, you are winning with time.

Your opponents can't impact your connection. The two clients never directly communicate so they can't get your connection details.

Evil is working everywhere. Just stay good as you are. Just play for fun.

This is super annoying. I lose connection 3-4 times per game. I have a super fast connection and this is the only site it happens on. Gonna have to find another site to play chess on.

I am disconnected from lives games for no reason whatsoever, I know for a fact it's NOT my internet as everything else works without an issue. The connection comes back IMMEDIATELY after time runs out. What on earth are these servers?

Main suspicious issue is connection reestablishes itself as soon as the time runs out.

The chess.com should see if there is some malicious persons are doing mischief.

I stopped playing live chess and playing only daily chess and vote chess.

The client code will end up forcing a reload when it thinks the game ends, such as a timeout for your opponent.

There are a lot of things that can cause a disconnect with the live server process and your opponent isn't one of them.

Hey Martin,

Then what is the remedy. Will refreshing the page help?
