I need a chess.com mods help figuring something out

I need to soon change my chess.com password so i can change the email on my current chess.com account before the end of my 12th grade school year otherwise i cant be on it anymore since the email on it was my school email but as i went to change my password i couldnt remember it and im not sure how i can change my password since i cant remember it and chess.com only lets u change your password by inputting first your old password which is what i forget so im not sure what to do. if a mod could help me figure this out id appreciate it

You should be able to use the forgot password option when logged out to reset your password, unless you're signing in with your Google account.

In that latter case, you should contact Support using the option in the menu and they can assign a password to the account.

ty martin. i just did the contact support and when i checked the support and put in an email they could contact me on i just saw but when i had put a . in the email like its supposed to have in the confirm email after i pressed confirm it changed to an _ and not the . it was supposed to be for the email they could conatct me on

Try logging in after log out there you'll see forget password button... Click on put your email or username then you'll get mail on you mail id click on that link and change your password
