Get told to reconnect when trying to find Facebook friends

I just made my account. Im unsure if I connect it to another account on this website but when I look it up nothing shows up on any other possible email I have. My account under connected accounts shows connect but when I try to find friends through facebook it tells me to reconnect. Can anyone help?
