Why do I Never Get Paired in Bughouse

I just tried and played a bughouse game without issues. Which problem are you facing, please?

Sometimes it does take a few minutes to find a partner, but every time I have looked I found one in < 5minutes 

And I would advise that the best way to play bughouse is to play with a friend  

i sent a challenge, then went away for 5 minutes, then i opened live chess, and the challenge was still being sent out

The time control has to be 3 min for fastest match.

I'm 800 and I get paired instantly.

now that i've gotten paired, my bughouse is now 533

I never see bughouse on openchallenges (unless I set the challenge myself), is it a setting that I need to change?

no it's a computer only feature so...

no, but yeah, but ... please finish your sentence (I'm listening) - It doesn't make sense. If I can set an open challenge, other people must be able to see it in order to join, but I can never see their's. Is there a special place to look?

You're supposed to either join the pool or challenge a friend. They aren't on the same server as the Live Games Open Challenges because App users can't play those games. Yet.

Okay, thanks for responding. I am still not quite clear, can you please clarify - how do we "join the pool"?
I am using a browser not the app, I have no trouble with King of the Hill or Crazyhouse or Live960, it is only bughouse that never appears on Live Chess Open Challenges unless I make the challenge myself - but it does appear there when I do.
