Deranking on purpose

I want to derank on purpose to around 400, so I can follow along with a YouTube series I found about building habits. Is there some kind of rule against that, seeing as it's technically smurfing?

That's exactly the answer I was looking for, never heard of the term. Thank you!

Chess personalities must get a pass for educational purposes.

They don't purposely drop their rating but get site permission to start an additional account at a lower rating, for things like speed runs.

According to your history, you were in Stone for two weeks and just promoted to Bronze this Sunday

  • Your first division was from November 16th through the 24th and you promoted to Stone
  • You didn't play any games November 24th through December 1st so weren't placed in any division
  • You first Stone division you only got 3 trophies from December 1st through the 8th and didn't promote
  • You promoted in your second Stone division from December 8th through the 15th, and got into Bronze
  • You're currently in that Bronze division

Everything is correct.
