Why premium account so expensive?

Omg I just checked and didn't realise it was so expensive. Diamond membership is £170 a year...
How are people paying this when a diamond membership on chess.com is worse than getting lichess for free.

my point exactly too much money for what you get and its just out of the range of lower rated players who play for fun ---- make it more affordable more will join---

no its like going to a french restaurant that costs £50 when theres a turkish restaurant thats free across the road
(chess.com is the french restaurant and lichess is the turkish restaurant because french food sucks and turkish food is nice)
Premium is expensive but very good. @chesssblackbelt, where do you get insights on Lichess? Where? Where do you get lessons on lichess? Where? Lichess sucks. Its only advantage is that you can play 30|20 games.
