I guess you meant 'what country' instead of 'who'?
'Who' generally refers to a person.
I'd say japan is pretty bad at chess in general.
Which country is the worst at Chess?
How do you feel these lesser Chess nations would fare against Finland? would 4 or 5 move mates be more common? Could Finnish chess cause them to capitulate from sheer terror before the 2nd move? Would the odds of this occuring 50% of the time or 75% of the time be more likely? Why would any nation dare face the Fins in Chess? Who would dare?
I mean. Finnish ppl are super good at chess. My source for this is I played a Finnish guy and he destroyed me. I have a 1400 ELO XD. Anyways. Mikhail Botvinnik aside who are you even talking about. Necrolord out
Historically, RUSSIA is the best chess nation...I know that Russia doesn't exactly have a good reputation internationally right now, but the truth is the truth. To claim otherwise is to speak blindly from a patriotically egocentric point of view.

i second this. Theyre really bad lmao
Isn't North Sentinel Island a part of India? India has players that are pretty good. One even recently did well in the world championship.
I would say a country like maybe Tuvalu or San Marino might have fewer good chess players.
Finland has the clear advantage internationally. It being the greatest Chess nation ever is clear, that much is indisputably certain. But who is the worst? Discuss.
