Guys I need some help. For a few months now this exact line has been haunting me, I see it in dreams and I draw it in the air with my hand, it is like I am being controlled by it, I don't know why this specific line has such an affinity with me but I want it gone

Yeah my message is mostly a joke but whenever I played fried liver in lower elo range it was either this line or 7...Kg8??

Who moves their king?

TitanMaster101

At 8…nd4 you could try qf6 instead, but white already has an advantage

ChessAGC_YT

True...

Yeah beginners like to move their king to either e8 or g8 but very rarely e6. Which is apparently the top engine move. I see Qf6 a lot more which is why I stopped playing the fried liver that much

ChessAGC_YT

Qf6 makes sense tbh

ChessAGC_YT

Imagine doing Fried Liver though.

vamsim7

Yeah. Nowadays I only do it in bullet games which don't really matter. Traxler is really effective

ChessAGC_YT

whats Traxler?

black is playing traxler it has alot of lines but it ruins king safety for whole game and it is basically forced checkmate most of time

vamsim7

This

Usually you want something like this to happen but even if it doesn't your opponent's king will be in the middle and you will have a very strong attack and material advantage (the c4 bishop usually hangs)

White is fine after 6.Kf1

Yes but Black has a lot of opportunities for attack after 6...Qe7 7. Nxh8
While it's not "sound" it's better than other trappy openings like the Fritz variation and Blackburne Shilling (in Italian game)
