Should I switch from the Scandinavian to Caro-Kann?

Ever since around 1000 elo I've found great success using the Scandinavian as a reply to 1.e4, but I want to get into OTB tournaments and I've heard many bad things about the Scandinavian. I know there are a lot of similarities between the Scandi and Caro-Kann so should I try learning the Caro-Kann even as just a second opening I can use to not be a one trick for 1.e4 defenses?

Make sure you learn the various attacks against the Caro Kann if you do decide to play it. I used to fear facing it, but now I get excited every time my opponent plays it. Eric Rosen put out a video on how to crush the Caro Kann, and I have to say the attacks often work if my opponent doesn’t know them.

I play the Cairo- Kann a lot , it’s my favorite reply to 1.e4 …. I throughly recommend it to you !

Caro-Kann is good but it is very positional which gets boring for some, I would personally suggest that you learn an e6 Sicilian

Yes , its much better for you, makes the hair on your chest grow.

At our level the opening has little to do with the result. Besides, the Scandinavian has been played in a WC match, so it's probably not that bad.
