I suggest membership of some sort, and a free puzzle app. Chess pro tactics is good

Definitely do puzzles, they really helped me and you can do them for fun whenever you want. Also, I would play a lot of rapid and focus on not blundering as much as possible, you can get significantly better from just doing that.
