The problem though is nothing is done to inform the reporter what, if anything, was done.
If someone shot your daughter, the way to get closure is to find out the shooter got life in prison.
If someone threatens to attack you, you are informed that he or she got a restraining order, and if I see him or her coming, I call police and they are arrested.
If someone threatens someone else on chess.com, and reports it, nothing is told to the reporter, and they could be spending the rest of their life in fear of ever logging onto chess.com again, thinking that long periods of time on the site may let the one that posed the threat hack and look for IP addresses. The reporter should be informed that the perpetrator got a life ban of ever logging into chess.com again, or 1 year muting, or 1 week muting, or nothing, etc.
No, reports don't get any kind of response unless it's a direct ticket. There's too many reports to individually reply to them.
