Naka is threatening to retire from chess due to cheating accusations!!

blackmancer

Kramnik is struggling for relevance, he's a declining former WC who makes loose claims, even though he himself broke the rules.

OutOfCheese

He's like the villain in a cheap clown movie and doesn't realize it. Just sad.

How did Kramnik break the rules?

xor_eax_eax05

He played on money tournament on someone else's account. That's flagrant cheating.

Leetsak

this is actually quite unpleasant situation actually, mostly cause Danya and Hikaru are streamers first, so the accusations really hurt them, cause otherwise they could just ignore Kramnik and live their lives, but since their income from streaming comes from views and followers, anything negative will deter some followers so they can lose viewers and money thats why they are so upset i guess, otherwise they could just ignore Kramnik and not be bothered by all of this, on the other hand Kramnik is generating tons of clikcs and views, so if anything this is just another internet drama and war of viewers and clikcs, chess jsut happens to be the theme here

Why only three-months for Kramnik?

There were no accusations from Kramnik’s side, only some reasonable questions and facts. Stop lying

If you look at it very naively then no, there were no accusations happy.png

However if you know the least bit of psychology then you know that you can very well insinuate things, sow disinformation and yes, also veil accusations by "simply asking some questions". Everybody knows what Kramnik is doing, he's phrasing his beliefs as a questions in an intellectually dishonest way, which is why they're effectively not different in essence from direct accusations.

One example (and there are MANY) of such a question would be Kramnik asking "where are you looking?". It's not a real question. He has played chess long enough to know chess players look away from the board when visualizing as he himself also does (and Hikaru is very famous for his "ceiling stockfish"). So the "question" is asked solely to insinuate Danya is looking at something forbidden, the tone he asks the "questions" in also adds to that effect.

You took that where are you looking question out of context.

Danya's case is very complex. Kramnik has lot's of points there. And that gaze was connected to other points and you know that or you didn't watch his videos carefully.

OutOfCheese

My response isn't built on that gaze, it was just a (bad) example on how one could accuse by "asking questions". You can ignore my whole 2nd paragraph, it was only meant as an illustration.

You are too naive.

"Hey dude, I just checked your games, your moves are way better than someone from your rating. Why is that? I ran them through the Stockfish and you match the first engine choice in 25 out of the 30 moves. That's statistically not normal for a 300 elo in chess.com."

"What you mean Im accusing you of cheating? Not at all, IM JUST ASKING QUESTIONS AND STATING FACTS".

If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you.

It was never like that. Point to a video and time. Otherwise you're doing some inaccurate interpretations.
