Moderators and Staff

Ok guys, so recently whilst scrolling through the forums page, i have noticed that most of it (for me)
is abt trash talking mods and staff and ranting abt bugs and trollers. please stop. we have a support button that we use for bugs ( in some occasions its o.k. if you actually need help on something bug related if you are nice abt it and genually need help bad) and a report button for trollers. and if we are going to trash talk mods and staff, we can politely say in the suggestion box on what should be done.   i don't want to seem karen-like but something has to be changed.

i js rly dislike it when ppl trash talk mods or staff, its js so rude and annoying.

The one that alternately amuses/annoys me is the "he beat me, he must have cheated", with little to no evidence.

With respect to your point though, I sadly agree. Three contacts with staff have left me 66% satisfied (one never got back to me ;-)). I was a mod on a gaming site until my then wife made me stop (literally changed all my passwords). Given that chess.com has a far greater footfall, no I don't envy them.

Thank you for the support. Moderators are volunteers and part of the community like everyone else. I volunteer my time because I enjoy the community and want to make it safe and fun for others. We moderate (not censor) the site based on guidelines provided by chess.com and that everyone agrees to for being here.

no problem, i just wish more people new that.

also i know i said earlier how much i dislike it when ppl trash talk mods and staff but i feel like more needs to be said abt that. bcuz its js so frustrating and annoying to see ppl trash talking and being rude to the mods and staff. you know mods and staff have hearts, and i know some mods and staff could take it personally and i also know that some of them will js shrug it off. some of these staff and mods are doing it without getting paid. they are literally volunteering to make c.c a better place. and WHAT DO YOU DO! you be mean and say rude things to them. its like going to a church fundraiser and then flipping everyone off. so what abt we say nice things to them, bcuz i know when someone compliments me, it makes me feel sooooooooo nice and happy! so its probably the same thing with them, and now since you complimented them they will most likely do there job better. but if you be rude, then they feel like there work has no effect on ppl. (my perspective)

I feel there are more people that appreciate moderators than those that dislike moderators.
