How the Silk Road Changed Chess - Chess.com

It's mid-decent imo.

I liked the blog! Good topic.

Here are some areas to work on:
The chess pieces floating in mid-air in the thumbnail were distracting. I'd have just dropped the pieces. Or done an AI-developed picture with key elements included.

The pictures towards the bottom were taken since the advent of cameras. It wasn't clear how that tied to the silk road and the spread of chess. It seemed disconnected/separate from the overall theme as you kind of "got to Europe" in the Dark/Middle Ages and suddenly had some National Geographic pictures. I might have saved those pictures for a second blog. See below.
I probably would have approached this as a series of blogs and let the reader know that there were going to be sequels, and provide links both forward and backwards as you add new posts. Also, by focusing on shorter time periods you could add more depth. The alternative approach is a very, very long blog...those are difficult to keep the reader's attention.

Minor point: The quote after 'Chess goes to the Arabias" was in a different font with a black background. I would have pasted it as plain text.
