You need 3 periods for it to be an ellipsis. Exp 1: You go go outside, play games, eat…. (4 was used to show that it ended (basically a period after an ellipsis)) Exp 2: He left… (used to show feeling of sadness or emptiness) Exp 3: On, then off, then on, then off… (used to show something repeating (most common use)).
