No if he doesn’t take and king moves to f2 then queen g3 is checkmate, so checkmate either way

I'm completely sure that you are able to spot mate-in-1 if you try. You are doing something very wrong.

I am unstable in pretty much every aspect of my life, so yes I could have a brain f*rt and not see a mate-in-one. It's like the difference between genius and idiocy, they're closer to one another than one may think.

This may sound completely stupid but sometimes I do a check ... and to my utter surprise I won by mate!
I can be as smart as I can be stupid. And I like extremes. 
And am infinitely curious, like studying 4-5 languages on and-off, trying to create my own language, create my own music genre(s), being interested in philosophy, psychology, AI, robotics, astronomy, transgressive cinema, etc: a total rebel. 
Was Fischer a rebel btw?
