I know a lot of u guys think I’m very bad at chess, and I did too. So I created an alt used only for playing chess games. Turns out I’m 1175 rated rapid which is better than my 633 rating on this acc. I’m so happy bc now I know I’m not bad at chess XD

You could get banned for having an alt account.

Honestly it's tough playing against lower elo cause even if your 1200 you can still blunder 3 + times in a game and you might take them less seriously

But honestly we are all bad at chess tho you could prob beat 95% of people just by being like 800-1000+ rapid

Compared to a 2000 your bad obviously lol but compared to the average population your not (which is good )

Not if it's verified

Just for the record, 633 isn't very bad at chess. It is not good but 400 is about where it gets bad

SamuelChess321

Hmm 1173 is still not really good, I think 1500 is intermediate (it’s easier to improve for low rated players....

blackpanther11121

Intermediate? 1500 is top 2 percent of players!!

SamuelChess321

Nah that is cuz most people just create too many accounts, 1500 is not that good at chess......I am around 1550-1600 level, but I still blunder often and feel the huge difference between me and 2000 players

blackpanther11121

Of course you feel the difference, that's 500 rating points. And in that level is when you have to really improve to get higher rating. And you can't base the community off your opinions. Not trying to be contradictory or trying to start an argument. I just am not very good at speaking

Fair enough I would also say intermediate is around 1200-1600 you know enough about the game to be decent but you are not performing even close to titled players level typically though sometimes some are 2000+ otb but only 1600 on chess.com even if that's rare

Honestly it depends at 1200-1600 but id say (most are intermediate ) while 800 is a low intermediate /high beginner I definetly was not an expert at all when I was 1600 elo even if I could beat most people

Yeah exactly

blackpanther11121

But I do see ur point, there are a lot of 500- 1000 rated players who play a lot higher than they actually are. still, not a lot of people are 1500

True it depends on the person though still (most but of course not all there are same really talented/underrated 1200s-1500s) 1200-1500s usually do not play on a professional level usually experts at a game can (even if they don't ) play on professional level or close to it it depends what your comparing if your comparing msot people then I guess you could consider yourself an expert but considering otb you aren't really so it is all perspective

KwanMan2024
I’m 1150+ but I have 88% percentile so I think most of the chess .com accounts are inactive
KwanMan2024
I think 0-999is beginner,1000-1599is intermediate,1600-1999is advanced,2000-2199is expert and 2200+is master
