how to not move too fast

Verwarr
basically, I'm moving too fast, like a cigarette addict that doesn't have cigarettes for 3 days. I know some help, like moving a piece after a couple of seconds passed, checking if my pieces get threatened, and calculating if my move is sound enough, but like an addict I'm still ignored those thing even it does help me. Do you guys have any suggestions? because right now I'm resigned for any improvement and just hope that playing more, it'll somehow get better.

If your moves are accurate, it doesn't matter how fast you move, there's no set time to move in, make sure your move is good, preferably the best, and move, that's it.

Take a break.24 hours sounds good enough

One trick that might help is to consciously take a breath and count to three before making each move.

#2 Chess is not about playing a good move as fast as you can...you are probably referencing something like blitz or bullet which are not chess at all...chess is a battle of ideas...the only way you get better is to take your time...

Kids OTB are taught to sit on their hands. It might help.
