LesPersonnes1000

Now 1600!

But guys is there a way?

It is about the same. Chess.com rating is maybe 100 higher than FIDE rating.

Look at Social, members to see some members with their FIDE and chess.com ratings.

What data do you use to support that?
Look at the members page:

Member chess.com rapid FIDE difference

iAspet 2449 2250 199
Mikasinski 2317 2139 178
Eeleyah 2402 2210 192
chessS1r 2251 2365 -114
alexsuper1987 2315 2304 11

Average 93

So chess.com rapid = FIDE + 100.

By the way, my FIDE is > 2000.

There is no positive and negative correlation between FIDE, USCF, Lichess etc. If there is, it usually not very strong. Some people are much weaker online, and stronger OTB. For example, my FIDE is around 1800 and my USCF 2000. However my online is much weaker at only 1800.

Some people are more calculation based, and others are more intuitive.

I thought you're smart enough to understand that you cannot use provisional ratings to make any conclusions. All those players from your example don't play rapid actively on the ladder and their ratings are simply provisional and don't mean anything.

For example, you're saying that your FIDE is >2000. It doesn't mean anything. In my country every 2nd 1500 player would eat you alive. I've seen may players with 2300-2400 blitz online and <1500 FIDE. I know a local kid with is the champion of my country (10 M population) under 10. His FIDE is around 1670 or something and online he is >2400 at blitz. What do you thing would be your chances against him as >2000 FIDE player?

My personal FIDE rating is 1550 btw.

If you want to compare blitz and rapid ratings on chess.com you should find a person which plays actively both time controls. For example:

@tomascele

I have to disagree with the fact that "every 2nd 1500" would eat the 2000 FIDE alive. Definitely not true. Blitz rating is usually irrevelent in determining the OTB rating.

Blitz requires different skills from rapid and from classical.
Moving fast, flagging, premoving...
Besides there are FIDE classical, rapid, and blitz ratings.

I did not know the Isle of Man was that strong in chess and had 10 M population.
I never had any problem beating < 1900 FIDE rated players in over the board classical.
I earned my FIDE rating playing international tournaments.

@14

And what are the FIDE ratings of those you mention?
The FIDE rated members I listed above have >100 rapid games, so both their listed FIDE rating and their chess.com rapid rating are known.

I suck at classical chess

You don't convert, you have to play games with all three of those ratings.

Bogopawn657

No online chess rating can be converted into a FIDE rating, a FIDE rating is achieved over the board in FIDE TOURNAMENT EVENTS, Over the board, online ratings are not equivalent to a FIDE rating and to play in FIDE Tournaments you need to earn a tour card, and you won't gain entry unless you hit the required over the board rating.

"blitz ratings are the most accurate because all strong players play it."
++ Blitz requires different skills: moving fast, premoving, flagging.
It is like saying ping pong ratings are more accurate than tennis ratings.
Blitz is another game.
The strongest players play only bullet online, except with some precautions like camera's and screen sharing.
Bullet is even further away from chess than blitz.

"you won't gain entry unless you hit the required over the board rating"
++ You can play FIDE rated open tournaments. They are open to all. If you play well, then you get paired to masters and grandmasters.

@24

"I can't imagine in what universe a 2000 FIDE would <2000 a blitz on chess.com."
++ Me for example. I cannot play 3|0 without flagging in won positions.

"3 min blitz is the most standart time control for online chess."
++ No. Most played is 10|0. Top players like Carlsen play 1|0 bullet only,
except if there are tournaments with additional provisions like screen sharing and cameras.

Anyway, you should compare chess.com rapid ratings to FIDE rapid ratings,
and chess.com blitz ratings to FIDE blitz ratings.

tygxc

@26

"You cannot compare incomparable."
++ You certainly cannot compare chess.com blitz with FIDE classical.

Speaking of Carlsen:

FIDE classical 2830
FIDE rapid 2823
FIDE blitz 2886

chess.com rapid 2896 i.e. +73
chess.com blitz 3341 i.e. + 455
chess.com bullet 3287

Conclusion: chess.com rapid = FIDE classical + 100

eathealthyfoods

There is a conundrum in the problem. It is like converting bullet chess rating with rapid chess rating. But all we can say is their relative strength but not equivalent to converting the rating to FIDE elo. So, in conclusion, if we want to know the relative strength of chess.com to FIDE elo rating we must include on how much depth a player can think in a vast amount of time only found in classical chess. Endurance is one of the most important factor in classical chess and this factor must not be eliminated. We all know that this skill can be learned at the process of playing classical chess timer but the most important question is on how much a player wants to invest in this excruciating time control. If you are the one who are good at waiting for too long on your opponent's move or the one who can spend a vast amount of time to make an accurate move, you have my regards.
