I think blocking by country would be a good idea. OP is right. I've seen this kind of thing happen a lot. Or maybe just eliminate the flags completely. There's really no need for them. And now that CC has deleted the Russian flag, they're just subjecting us to their geopolitics, and we're paying for this.
There is a name for people who treat a whole country as being the same based on the actions of individuals in those nations, it’s called racism, nothing more nothing less. How about we block black people, females or left handed people, how about we can ban people because their skin is darker then you? Let ban people who are poor or are Jewish, just pathetic discrimination! You do realise India and Indonesia combined make up 25% of the world’s population? Statistically, they should make up 25% of cheaters. Race, along with all other personal traits completely irrelevant to chess and are completely unwarranted. The great thing about chess is everyone is not only equal, but irrelevant, the pieces do the talking for us. I suggest you either man up and play everyone, or just resign when playing someone you are racist against!

They probably have to step up the moderation and cheat detector tbh. Blocking whole countries probably wont help the fact there are more cheaters. A lot of people can cheat so if you just block their country then you will have less acess to those who actually play fair

is there a way to block Indonesians and Indians in the match ups? some of them (not all of them) cheat vigourously ðŸ˜
you can tell because you'll be smoking them then they'll take a really long time to play sometimes their connection will drop really low and then all of a sudden they're crushing
to be fair to chess dot com it would be pretty hard to tell if someone's cheating or just thinking hard but cmon... Indonesians are known for this.
how can your most famous chess player be a well known cheater. anyway I'm not trying to debate whether all Indonesians cheat or not. they probably don't but anyway. I'm trying to learn and having to spend 15 minutes playing the pc isn't really fun or educational because the computer will put you in situations that no one you'll ever play in real life would get into because they can't see 30 moves ahead in all directions. so how do I block matchmaking with certain countries?
