I have come across this too. I think they are hoping you resign or lose track of the time or worse yet disconnect. It’s my major gripe about playing here because it just wastes time. I hope you reported him or her for stalling.

yeah I have reported him. this is very bad behaviour from beginning to the end. I informed him to come here and say something, maybe apologize.. (people might do awkward things with temper) but he just downvoted it. heh, what was he expecting? to approve what he did?
some people suffer from lack of empathy.. severely. but they are very creative when it comes to do things like this.. this is a very strange way of stalling a game.. to be honest. they would be more successful on the actual game if they just used their brain for more useful things.
After got skewered, guy started stalling.. but in parts, making a few random moves after every 2-3 minutes.
Still abandoned the game when 20 seconds left but how can a person go down that much.. what did he live in his childhood? he was playing too confident before.. an ego made of glass, shattered in pieces..
