Game review changes are horrible

The new review interface is aesthetically-pleasing but not fit for purpose. Is there a way to roll back to the previous version?

hello,

I just became a Diamond Member 6 months ago because I absolutely loved how your Game Reviews were set up.

I see that my Game Review has changed again to the new format. Can I please get it changed to the old format. It truly was much better the old way.

I know you guys over there did it before. Thanks happy.png

Maybe I'm overlooking something, but there are fewer options now in Game Review. I used to be able to select which side I wanted to review, but I do not see that option. Has anyone else figured out how we can select a side to review? I ask this because I completed a game, did the game review and it would only look at the mistakes/blunder my opponent made, not mine.

Thanks.

Most horrible change to me personally is, that in old game review after the analysis you could press 'start review' and it would quickly autoplay the game and stop on every mistake, in the new version, it only shows your blunders and skips most of your mistakes. its useless imo now.

When in a review, go to the settings and under Interface > Review you can change it to the color you played in the game. After if will review based on the color you played in future reviews.

When using the key move option I'm still seeing it stop on mistakes.

*Thanks for the info Martin!

I am not a fan of the new game review system either. It is really quite annoying to have to switch back and forth between analysis and review to try and find the information you are looking for. If it is possible to switch me back to the old system, I would certainly prefer that. The old axiom "If it ain't broke don't fix it." should be placed on a sign on the wall somewhere that you can see it every day.

Hi all! Sorry for the frustration with the new version of Game Review. I have migrated everybody in this thread who had a negative experience back to the old version of Game Review (let me know if it did not go through for you). We will eventually be moving to a new design, but will be sure to think through all of your feedback. Thanks as always for sharing your opinions. It helps make Chess.com and the community great!

Please migrate me too

PDX_Axe

The migration did not work for me. meh

The site is not migrating members to the old review. That was a temporary option before it was released site wide

Abonanno24601

It didn't work for me either.

this is not what I paid for in December....

I can't keep up with chess.com design plans/news, etc. so I was disappointed to see the Performance Rating (shown as "Game Rating") is gone from Game Review. It was there last week. I don't find a setting for it. Is there one or is it gone?

In order to have estimated rating one or both players need to have a listed rating.
