Any chess players would benefit from studying Go. First it is more interesting than chess, has real world application, and the game is far deeper than chess can ever be. So the best coaching in my opinion would be to study Go life and death problems, actual games, opening strategies and what the pieces mean in this abstract game. By the way, any study of Go is worth $$$ in a world where everything is domesticated. Typical chess psychology doesnt work anymore due to all the laws and regulations not to mention the dishonesty in a functioning mass population.
I went to a Mindsports event once and the instructor said that in some Asian countries military generals are taught Go as part of their training.
Go is huge in Asia. There is a 24 7 Go channel in Sth Korea. As some of us joke it's better than a Stop channel.
If any of you fellow "newbies" want to challenge me (unrated of course...) so we can practice, I'd be happy to do that. I'm like a lot of y'all - can't seem to pick up things as fast as I like but I do keep trying. More practice can only help....
Awesome! A lot of entries so far, but remember, you guys can enter all the way through the 29th. So tell your friends!

Luke, sorry for all of the "extra" stuff I write. I really am interested in the coaching. If I don't win the free time, maybe i'd still take a lesson or two.
Good to know :D
Anymore entries????

I think that pretty much says it, I'm a player who isn't particularly improving. I'm very interested in improving and take criticism and instruction well. I would want it most to see how I can elevate my game to the next level. Besides that, I only know the bare basics, so I imagine teaching me something new won't be particularly hard ;).
