I think women r underrated I'd like them to give women as much of chances
differences between the women's and men's candidate tournamen
it's the open candidates and women candidates, meaning anyone can join the open one, so i think women have plenty of chances
There is a growing awareness of the importance of gender equality in chess, including equal opportunities and treatment for male and female players.
Can someone tell me why in the men's candidates tournament the players have 2 hours on the clock and in the women's tournament they only have 1 and a half hours on the clock, what happened to that half hour difference?
It looks like they are admitting women don't have the same stamina in chess as men. What other reasoning would they have? Its similar to women in the WNBA having a smaller ball to use and other modifications.

There’s no proven intellectual inferiority that women have against men, so assuming both sexes are equal intellectually then it’s probably because Women already have an advantage with separate women tournaments and they might as well make the time less so the advantage isn’t too much🤷🏽♂️

No one is saying women are intellectually inferior. There is no sense in rehashing the biological differences or the different way men and women think but most people don't realize the physical toll chess takes at the elite level.
"In 2004, winner Rustam Kasimdzhanov walked away from the six-game world championship having lost 17 pounds. In October 2018, Polar, a U.S.-based company that tracks heart rates, monitored chess players during a tournament and found that 21-year-old Russian grandmaster Mikhail Antipov had burned 560 calories in two hours of sitting and playing chess -- or roughly what Roger Federer would burn in an hour of singles tennis.
Robert Sapolsky, who studies stress in primates at Stanford University, says a chess player can burn up to 6,000 calories a day while playing in a tournament, three times what an average person consumes in a day. Based on breathing rates (which triple during competition), blood pressure (which elevates) and muscle contractions before, during and after major tournaments, Sapolsky suggests that grandmasters' stress responses to chess are on par with what elite athletes experience."
