Crazyhouse

Don't know if anybody else has ever brought it up, and I'm at work so I don't have time to search it (Lunch break!)

Would looove to have crazyhouse on this site.  Sometimes it's fun to put that lazy knight you captured to good use!!

Meadmaker

Crazyhouse is the two player version of bughouse, played on a single board.

Interesting.  But the material you capture is the wrong colour to use?!

I've never played it, but I would assume you need to have two sets of pieces, so that a captured black piece could be replaced with a captured white piece, or you could construct flat, pointed, pieces with pictures on them, similar to Shogi pieces.

crazyhouse and bughouse would be cool to have on this site... it would be really hard to program but still i think a lot of people would really like it

ICC had crazy/bughouse.  I like Crazyhouse, because you don't have to worry about finding partners.  Knights kick MAJOR butt in crazyhouse.  Can "close the coffin" a lot in zh.

Oh yeah - Crazyhouse = ZH

i'd love crazyhouse and bughouse

I've promised to hold a bughouse tournament after my next Chess tournament.  (January 22 in the suburbs of Detroit.  See Chess for Charity event listed on the local calendar here at Chess.com)  Unfortunately, in order to play, there must be players.  We'll see.

what's crazyhouse?

where i can play crazyhouse?

crazyhouse is two player, while bughose is 4 player. In crazyhouse you take a piece and it changes into your color. In bughouse you take a piece and pass it to your partner who is playing the opposite color you are. I think you need two sets of pieces no matter which verision you play. It's sort of difficult to find online verisions, but mac chess includes the crazy house varient.

I would like bughouse. crazy house would be fine, but I would not probably play it.

Please Erik, PLEASE find a way to implement this!!

I appreciate what you're doing with that chess group, but I'm one of probably many people who would find it hard to play like that. I have a hard time visualizing things in my head, and I do not always have a chess set available. Not to mention the perks of having ratings, applying this to team matches, vote chess games, it has a lot of potential seeing as how it's a very well-known chess variant.

jtt96

maybe it won't get implemented, but I would like it if it was. realtime play, please.
