Chess clubs on Long Island?

I was just wondering if there are any chess clubs around in the suffolk county area of new york? Any and all help would be appreciated.

It's a pleasure to meet a fellow Long Islander!  I'm from Suffolk too (around Smithtown). 

The only chess club I am aware of is one that meets in the Smithtown library.  I've never went, but I see their ads on public access cable every now and then.  Other than that, the only chess club on LI that I am aware of meets in Nassau.

 Interesting, I live southshore so I haven't honestly seen many advertised at all, kind of a small niche. Smithtown eh? I was honestly hoping for something closer but we will see. Will have to delve into the matter more closely.

Speaking of the USCF, they will help you to start your own chess club.  I think they even give you some equipment and stuff to get you started.

Are there any schools or classes that teach beginner level chess in Nassau County?

I am looking chess club in suffolk, too. I want to play chess.

If you find a place in Suffolk, do post it please. The closest place I know of is in Nassau County in East Meadow.

Chess coffee is also a good idea. We can meet up at coffee shop and play chess.
