There is more to life than chess you know

Not completely. Until you are 16 you have to be at school. However what you can do is take up to 12 months off of school to devote an entire year for chess. It’s known as the time-out period. You need to contact the national agency for education and ask for permission. Taking a year to devote to chess while you are young can be one of the best decisions of your life.

Going to the casino and gambling can be the best decision of your life…

Probably not legally, and you wouldn't want to do that anyway.

See, that's a really tough challenging path. If you say you want to devote to chess, you have to literally put in the effort. You cannot just look at chess for 4 hours and call it a day. You will have to spend 2/3 of the day with hardcore chess everyday.

he will have a much better chance of being a top player if he fully devotes his time to chess.

people who only take half measures don't get to the top 10.
