Hello
Basically I built my bullet and blitz ratings up to 1800-1900 before I started playing standard.
Unfortunately I played some 1100-1200 rated players on my first few standard matches that decided to use an engine against me because they knew they couldn't win legitmately. This pushed my rating down to 1000 in the first few games.
Yes I know they were using engines, because these 1100-1200 players were stronger than 1800-1900 opponents. They would not go for the obvious and they would go for very advanced combinations instead without making any mistakes. One of them pretended to 'think', the othe one was just banging out the moves. One used an engine from the very beginning, one turned it on after getting destroyed in the beginning, but anyway this is besides the point.
Anyway I have clawed myself back to 1400 standard by playing against EASY and NORMAL mode computer, but it is taking forever to progress now. The variation in my rating is so small now because I have played too many games so I can't get up to 1800 without playing hundreds of games against weaker opponents first and I don't have the patience for this because it is standard time control.
I have been literally playing bullet chess against computer HARD (1600) on standard time control, but I can't beat it without having to slow down now and it will take way too long to get 1800-1900. I can't beat 1600 standard by playing bullet, so it has been kicking my ass.
I would like to reset my standard rating and just play against the computer initially because I know it won't be able to cheat against me and I can get an accurate rating isntead of having to endure this torture. If I can't reset it then I will have to remake a new account and I don't want to go through the hassle. Thanks in advance.
