wow
Nimzo: ...46. Kg6 47. Rxh6+! and the rook becomes a desperado. Black should still win but the position is interesting
Agree black should win, but it's a nice stalemate. Most beginner stalemates are one side running the other king around and screwing it up. Here black recognized he was stalemated and sacked his rook in a clever way to get a draw
Anybody know the fastest stalemate possible from a starting position?
It is 10 moves.
I can post the moves if someone can create the board with the moves
That was also composed by Sam Loyd - when he was 65 years old. The other one was composed by him when he was 25.
This is one I'm pretty proud of. I redacted my opponents name because I really like him and I felt bad for him when he fell into my trap. I Sac'ed my bishop hoping he would take it and not realize it would lead to stalemate. He was kicking himself after this one! He was definitely winning before this.
So, I was playing a player about 100 point or so higher than me, and started losing quite badly. (I played badly after reviewing get enough game) amazinglyrics though, I was able to get a stalemate. (Below is the game)Arona move 40 I just started giving up material so that I would get a stalemate. Post here any games you were losingoing badly, but then was able to stalemate.
BTW, my rating is 1152, and my opponents was around 1244 I think.
