Svidler is +2-0=9 in classical games, Aronian has a winning record, Anand is +6-2=17. Not sure who has the best record.
He's younger than a lot of these players though so was playing them well before his peak.

Not sure, but I see he seems to be only 13.5/39 against Aronian?
If that's correct, it should be hard to beat.
[edit] sorry, that seems to be 25.5/49, actually.
Still pretty decent.
From where rooperi? This is what I get at chessgames (dunno where I got Aronian's winning record from):
Classical games: Magnus Carlsen beat Levon Aronian 6 to 4, with 20 draws.
Including rapid/exhibition games: Levon Aronian beat Magnus Carlsen 14 to 11, with 31 draws.
Only rapid/exhibition games: Levon Aronian beat Magnus Carlsen 10 to 5, with 11 draws.
*The figures above are based only on games present in our database which may be incomplete.
In my Icofy database I have 50 between these 2.
Icofy is not good with additional info, So I know very little about time controls etc
Interesting, I really need a proper database, I can never work out how to import to SCID though, it only shows the most recently imported PGNs rather than all and I just get fed up with it...plus I can't just play moves and see what lines were played like the explorer here?
might be worth watching this video if you want to learn how to use scid more fully. http://www.chessvideos.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6461
Scott making a database is easy.
On the file menu, click new, and give your DB a name, (ScttDB?)
Every time you open scid, open your db too. If you import games, they will be added. easy.

Players who have been undisputed world champions in boldface
interesting matchup. Matches are different from tournaments, and some players have excelled more at one than the other. Botvinnik was awesome at matches, due to preparation. Remember that Kasparov had never beaten Karpov before their match...

Neither had Fischer ever beaten Spassky before their WCC match.
wow thx jurisgnostic
Does anybody know which master owns the best record vs Magnus Carlsen? Been trying to find this information with no luck...
