I’m also curious what chess .com rating is considered a beginner and what rating is advanced

I would say 1500 and above is intermediate, and 2000 and above is advanced. Below 1500, most games seem to be decided by blunders and tactics; poor time management is also a factor in faster games. Between 1500 and 2000 it's a mixture; most players notice basic tactics but games are very rarely decided on purely positional factors. Above this level, I think (in classical at least) tactics are more used as leverage for gaining positional advantages. This doesn't mean you should be discouraged though. You can improve quite fast just by playing and reviewing your mistakes, and of course the most important thing is to have fun!

Problems with the question:

- Chess.com ratings are based on the performance in most recent games and can thus jump all over the place all the time if you play a lot.

- There is no such thing as intermediate as a clearly defined term. Everyone will guess differently. I think chess.com assigns ELO 800 if you claim you're an intermediate as starting ELO, but I may be wrong.

- The thing that actually represents a clear archievement is the Grandmaster (GM) title, and its smaller cousins (IM - International Master, FM - Fide Master, NM - National Master; and also F Female versions like FGM etc). Those are granted by FIDE for life, and not by chess.com.
