I hate to break it to you, but 800 Elo isn't intermediate. It's still beginner level. When creating a chess.com account and you click the beginner option, it sets you up with an 800 Elo account.

Chess is an implacable mirror of our flaws. When we blunder a lot at chess (which has nothing or little to do with how much we do understand chess), we should be concerned we're not overlooking important things in real life.
