 @Falwanson74 :Â
Great game, and nice ending with the trap!
Mucho Gracias, to both you guys. Â
I'll be happy to see you post your games here with Zugzwang motives, when that time has arrived. Â
To those, potentially, oblivion to the idea: "Zugzwang" is a German loanword that indicates a situation when a chess-player is forced to move his piece/s, resulting in a unfavorable/losing position."Â
In the end-position of the game posted above, it would have been better for white if it was black's turn to move. Therefore, white was in zugzwang. "Zug" means "move" and "Zwang" means "forced".Â
Much Obliged! Â
If white tries to stalemate himself, if does not work, but only barely. 39. Rxb6 axb6 and white has a move (b5).
Did you consider that variation while playing the game?

To be honest, time pressure was on and I was drawing my gun and shooting from the hip, sort of speak, however my guts were telling me that he/she was done. And boy... he/she was!
I believe, in a way it was some poetic justice there, as he was flagged at that moment and the final position on the board is saved for posterity. Sweet! Â Â Â

🚂............................When the train is on the roll, you better not be left on the 🚂...track as it is by nature forced & the rail squeals 🚂...whackwhack...whackwhack
If you have played a game where ZugZwang has reared it's beautiful head here is the place for YOU to parrr...tay!! Â
Worth noting that @snjozela missed the "train" because of time. Â
