WHY IS IT A DROW ?
White ran out of time so can't win. Black only has a king and that's not sufficient material to mate, the best they can get is a draw.
Because black didn't have sufficient material to win when white ran out of time. A lone king cannot win.

I guess you were feeling generous for some reason. It could have been worse, at least you didn't give him the access to your bank account or gave away your house.
On a more serious note, I am not sure why he gave away his rook for the bishop earlier. He had an easy draw with a king on f4, which is a dark square, so there is no way to chase it away with LS bishop. He could have just played Rg5, took the pawn on the next move with Rxg4 (unless you play Bf5, in which case f3 hangs and king can take it), and then take the last pawn with the king.
And if he does not find that plan in 7 days per move game, he could have just sit with his king and shuffle his rook. White had no way of playing for a win afterwards.
This is know as draw by insufficient material. This is a rule that is really crucial for your improvement in the game. The reason this is a draw is that its impossible to checkmate with just king and a knight, and that makes the game last forever, hence causing a draw. (Don't be underwhelmed by my rating this is my brothers account)
