Remember the chess game on "House"?
What's wrong with 16. h7 or 16. b6 threatening 17. Ba6+ skewering the queen? Mate is by no means inevitable here, resigning seems premature
An elderly neighbor of mine loved the show "House" and didn't believe me when I told her Hugh Laurie is English. So I showed her an episode of the BBC comedy "Blackadder" where a younger Laurie played the dim-witted prince and i thought she was going to have a heart attack!
At least the director and writers gave us something realistic. On the original "Saved by the Bell," Screech plays another kid for the scholastic chess championship and they moved their pieces with one hand and hit the clock with the other!
Hello All...
For those of you that like to watch the show "House", there was one episode involving chess. Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie with an amazing American accent) played this arrogant chess prodigy in a very well-done scene. I found that someone on another site painstakingly reconstructed this game for your enjoyment. Again, this was not from me, but I thought you would appreciate it. Enjoy!
