Why did I lose this game without moving a piece?

Did not move a single piece - game started but I got immediately interrupted. I thought this would be a canceled match as usually happens, instead it ended up with me losing for abandonment.

Is this a bug, or is there a reason - that I cannot see now - for it to happen?

Thanks.

If you have a high abort/abandonment/disconnect ratio, as a percentage of recently completed games, then all games that start as rated will be rated, regardless of how it finishes.

Thanks, good to know. I don't think I have a very high rate of abandonment though, and I strongly feel there was something wrong yesterday, because right after I posted this I started a new match, I could not even make the first move and "won it" for opponent's abandonment.
There had to be something off with chess.com servers in that specific moment.
