Your opponent actually played better than Karjakin vs Ivanchuk (15…Qe7 instead of Qe5) 18.Rde1 lokks more logical to me instead of Bxf6 but still black is slightly better according to stockfish. After all, it seems that plan with e4-e5 is too risky.
