How Do I View All my Wild or Sharp games?

Sort:

I want to see all of the games I played of a certain game shape. Specifically, I would like a list of all my wild and sharp games. Is this possible?

The game review mechanism categories all of your games with Smooth, Balanced, Sharp, Intense, Sudden, Wild, and Giveaway. I see the percent breakdown in the insights tool in the Learn tab, but I can't find a way to review those games.

I'm interested in this feature for analysis so I can improve my skills in different types of games. I'm also interested in seeing all the games of a certain game shape because it would make it easy to find good games to submit to GothamChess's Guess the ELO series, where most of the games are entertaining back and forth games.

There is a way to check Stats like this. It can be found in "Insights." If you don't have access to this, then it might still be in beta testing. I think just about anyone can join beta testing though - just go to the chess.com club for it and enable those settings. Insights should be the lightbulb icon under Stats.

How does one even get a sharp rated game? I have played around 40 games or so, not one yet, but I've won a majority of my games (probably about 85-90%)?

I get Sharp and Wild fairly often, but it is a play-style thing. Some people naturally get certain game types more than others. Sharp chess usually means double-edged, so a small error from either side could cost the game. It is a dangerous way to play, but I live on the edge like that routinely because even for the games I lose (and by "lose" I mean, "go down in flames" xD), they are instructional for post-game analysis. happy.png

I can see the game shape statistics but I can't find a list of the games in those categories.

If you look for your games in the Hopeless and Shocking categories, you'll find plenty of them there. happy.png

That doesn't currently exist. There are plans for a redesign of the archives, with more search options, but don't know if game shape will be one of the potential options.

I recently became diamond member and discovered this feature. In the insights only a few categories are searchable.

I think many members would appreciate game-shape as a searchable option.
