Which piece is the best looking.

But if I had to pick one I'd say the T' Rex

The Rook in most sets.  But like others when I find the right Knight I'm in love.  I like to call the Knights in cheaper, particularly cheap wood sets, CSO--chess shapped object.

Easily the Knight. But maybe I'm biased...

Staunton style chess pieces.

And nothing beats the classic pawn (black or white)

VERY nice looking pieces! I especially like the detail on the Knights (go figure!)

As for best looking, I still have to go with the Lewis chessmen. Maybe it's the history of the pieces combined with the detail but I would love to own a replica set.

A well-detailed stained wood white Rook is probably my favorite. With all the stain settling into the crevices and giving a nice shadowy effect... *chessgasm*...

Or anything in stone.

When we were young boys "playing" at the chess club, the rock was the most feared to be throw away at each others head... any colour.

The knight, either color. If i had to pick, i say white. But all the pieces are nice looking, especially if they are good quality and come with a nice board.
